Virgin Coconut Oil

VIRGIN COCONUT OIL - Minyak Kelapa Dara
Definition of Virgin Coconut Oil

Virgin coconut oil means, oil extracted from well matured and fresh coconut through specialized process without damaging its natural structure or natural nutrition as they were present in their original state in the coconut.

VIRGIN COCONUT OIL (PURE)
Processed by natural means without heat and other chemical. Discovered at least 9 type fatty acid Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCFA) namely caproic, caprylic, capric, lauric, myristic, stearic, oleic and linoleic acid. Science study shows that it's very useful for human health either baby, children, men or women. Suitable to be consumed, applied on skin, can make brilliantine or can be used during sexual relationship by applying it all over the body.
VCO content

How virgin coconut oil is processed?
BIO-ASLI's virgin coconut oil is produced organically by natural fermentation process without using heat to ensure the fat structure / rich fatty acid with "lauric acid" is not destroyed as required by standard.

What makes Bio-Asli's VCO manufacturing process secured its quality ?
To ensure the MCFA quality structure and antioxidant in VCO unchanged or lost, our company use the special skill to merge, modify and create the process of VCO production with our own idea. Therefore, in Bio-Asli the production process of VCO does not use enzyme (damaging bond lipoprotein), heating (dispel antioxidant) and acid catalyst (untie MCF). The process of water separation in VCO doesn't use heating machine, because this process will destroy antioxidant in VCO. Bio-Asli offers 100% fermentation technique (without heating, no chemical substance and catalyst enzyme). Instead of that, Bio-Asli uses the gravity technique for water separation.

VCO's quality
What is the content of VCO and how it could cure a variety of degenerative diseases? This question seems to be discussed regularly and because of that, there are many parties that really interested to get a better understanding about the content of VCO. Many research proved that VCO contains fat chain / fatty acid rich in " lauric Oil" which can keep up our health and also cure a variety of fatal diseases such as cancer, heart disease, obesity, and stroke. In addition, antioxidant in VCO is very high. Tocopherol and betakaroten, function to prevent aging and maintain the body's balance.
As we already know, our ancestors had made coconut oil in their daily activities. But, the question is, what is the true standard of the oil that can be called as VCO? In this matter we should refer on the quality standard specified by researchers. Until now, researchers (Through National Research Body) could not determine what is the best quality standard for VCO. As references, we used the Asia and Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) and the Philippine National Standard (PNS) with the code PNS / BAFPS No.22:2004. Both had set the quality standard of VCO, as seen from product as well as its manufacturing processes.
As a comparison, schedule 2 shows the quality standard of VCO according to SII (1979). Meanwhile schedule 3 shows the quality standard of VCO according to APCC (2005).
Schedule 2 and 3 show the fatty acid content in VCO and coconut oil, the medium chain fatty acid is higher in VCO compared to coconut oil. Medium Chain fatty acid is nutritious as medicine. The most important in VCO are the medium chain fatty acids; lauric acid (C-12), capric acid (C-8), and acid myristate (C-14).
According to AFCC, VCO's manufacturing process with or without heating does not matter. Most important is, the oil is produced from fresh and mature coconut and it does not change its structure. Therefore, coconut oil produced using traditional method and gradual heating could be categorized as VCO. But, PNS gives more accurate criteria; VCO is not produced without undergoing of chemical refining, deodorizing and bleaching (RDB).

The advantages of Virgin Coconut Oil
Similar with mother's milk.
For mothers who breast-fed their child, taking Virgin Coconut Oil as part of her nutrition will discover that the levels of lauric acid and capric acid increase significantly (see detailed information Removal Impact of Virgin Coconut Oil to lactating mother)
Anti Oxide (Protect or prolonging the life of cells)
Antivirus and antibacterial.
Lauric acid in virgin coconut oil which is a 'medium chain fatty acid' is highly useful to form monolaurin in human or animal body. Monolaurin is antiviral, antibacterial and antiprotozoal. Monoglyceride is used by the human body or animals to destroy the lipid layer or cone of the virus, such as HIV, herpes, cytomegalovirus, influenza, and a variety of pathogen bacteria including listeria monocytogenes and helicobacter pylori, and protozoan such as giardia lamblia. Some surveys also show that it functions as an antimicrobial.
The antiviral action in monolaurin is it can dilute lipid layer and phospholipids in cone or virus envelope  that cause damage on the virus envelope. So that, it is easier for fatty acid and monoglycerides to destroy the double layer plasma membrane of the organism.

Regarding to latest study, it shows that the impact of antimicrobial monolaurin is related with the disruption on the signal of the cell mechanism organism for replication.
